What to do with an iPod……….to help you scrap better!

OK so you are thinking she has finally lost it. Well not exactly. I recently realised how just about everyone seems to have an iPod or an Mp3 player or at the very least the ability to download and use iTunes. Yes iTunes, I was not much of a fan before, but am now a fan.

Ok so let’s get to the point, most of us use our iPods to store and listen to music and with the newer iPods you can view movies and pictures on them so it makes sense to expand this use. I now introduce you to the world of the podcast.

The iTunes store only allows purchases from certain countries, but anyone can browse the store and search and download free content.  Firstly ensure that you have the latest version…if not download it. Then ensure that you have enabled podcast’s in the preferences menu.

Edit > Preferences.

Once setup click on the iPod store in the main iTunes window. Depending where in the world you are from it will allow you direct access after giving them credit card details or allow you the browse options after selecting a country’s store to browse. I choose that as we cannot buy from iTunes and the best of all is that Podcast’s are FREE!

From the podcast menu you can browse or you can use the search button at the top to search for a topic. Now we get to why is this on Tutorial Tuesday, well you guessed it. There are loads of podcast’s on all sorts of topics and more specifically Photoshop and photography.

A few  have downloaded of late and subscribe to are the following….

  • Adobe Photoshop quick tips
  • Lynda.com training
  • Photoshop Killer tips
  • Photoshop user

To name a few. So jump right in and search for a few you may find interesting. Remember to select your update options in the preference menu as to how often you want to update your subscriptions and how much you want saved as they do take up space especially if you choose to save video options.

Well I hope you find this helpful.

Here is another link to our kit, enjoy.
